How about adding だじゃれ(Japanese Pun) to the game?  Maybe have a character say a だじゃれ(Japanese Pun) to try to be funny.

I've been studying Japanese and so far I'm getting a little bit better at it.  As for  だじゃれ(Japanese Pun), here's one I learned,

いるかがいるか?
Iruka ga iru ka?
(Is there a dolphin?)

Basically "iruka(いるか)" means dolphin and "iru ka(いるか)" is asking if someone or something is there.

What do you all think? I know it's not funny :).

What about adding some jokes that is known to Japanese people?  I know we're not Japanese, but it would be nice to know what jokes are being said in Japan.  This would help us become more exposed to Japanese Culture.

In addition, if someone doesn't understand then you can write a side note or something to explain the joke.

Here's a Japanese joke that I heard.

パンダの好きな食べ物は何ですか?パン
Panda no suki na tabemono wa nan desu ka? Pan
What is a panda's favorite food? Bread

In Japanese, "Pan(パン)" means bread.
